2017 Spring Projects Update!!
Bonnell’s Rod Shop has been working hard all winter. With spring fast approaching, here is an update of how things are progressing.
Matt’s Camaro is moving along very nicely. Mock up is almost complete. It will be heading to the body shop to have the Real Deal Steel body smoothed prepped for paint. Powered by a big block and riding on a full Detroit Speed suspension system. This thing is going to be a whole lot of fun!!
Rob’s Chevelle was brought in for The Rod Shop to do the body and paint. Progressing nicely it is currently in primer and moving to the painting stages. From here it will be blocked torn down and final primed. Paint and assembly will soon follow.
“Disturban” was debuted during the Erie Auto Show. Now that this wild 53 Suburban is together nice weather cannot get here fast enough. All that is left is to put some miles on it and fine tune it for show season.
Mike’s F7 has reached the primer stages. Coated in polyester primer this monster is starting to take shape. The chassis is assembled and painted and awaiting the freshly rebuilt flat head to come back from rebuild. Next step is final prime and paint.
Jack’s Willy’s Build is cruising right along. Starting out with an Antique And Collectible Autos kit makes this a pretty nice build. Making it’s way through mock up. The Willys will have all the componants in place before it is disassembed and sent back to the body shop.
Bob and Stacey’s 34 Chevy came in for a fresh interior as well as a few upgrades. The truck is all upholstered and the fab work on the main interior is well under way. It will not be long until this little cruiser is complete and back home.
Jim’s 38 Ford Standard was involved in a rear collision. Working with the insurance company the Rod Shop is putting it back to it’s former glory. The rear of the car sustained quite a bit of damage. Richie had to form a brand new truck lid because there was not one available. Metal work is complete and the Ford is heading to the body shop.
